Tuesday Tidbits.

Wow!  I have been crazy busy.  Well, sort of.  Work is work, throughout the month I am busy at different times.  But, personally...I'm crazy busy.  A lot is going on and organization is "key".  However, I will say I'm not as organized as I'd like to be.  So, I've been getting organized.  Oh, and did I forgot I've thrown in a few trips to the beach in between and I had a birthday...so, that means three weekends in a row that were pretty much a wash.  But, I did work on a few blog posts while at the beach.  And your probably  thinking "ok, well where are they...?" not typed as of yet nor finished.  I'm working on it.  Trust me, I am.  Typically I write my blog posts while at lunch however, I've been running errands and doing "other" stuff on my lunches lately.  Anyhow, I'm working on it and I'm getting super-duper organized in the process.  This weekend I will IS the weekend I will be doing all of this.

My key objectives this weekend are the following:
  • prepare blog posts (in-advance) - goal two weeks worth
  • clean out my storage unit
  • clean out my closet
  • organize my bedroom with my new dresser
  • complete several sets of cards (work-in-progress)
  • complete 2 scarves (already in progress)
  • get back on my workout regime (haven't been working out, too busy)
Anyhow, that's the plan.  Busy, I know.  Oh, and need I forget I'm booked Friday evening as well.  I have a hot date that involves laundry and cleaning but, I will entertain myself with a Netflix movie.  And did I mention that I have about 10 episodes of my favorite shows saved on my DVR...I am really  not sure "how" or "if" this will fit in.

I've bought myself a few presents recently.  Well, it was my birthday so I'm entitled, right?  I actually used b-day money.  So, let me share what I bought.  And I must add that the items I purchased are things I've been contemplating for quite some time now.

I bought a dresser from IKEA and put it together myself.  Well, I had an assistant, Bern.  We did it in two evenings after work and we both ended up with a smashed finger each.  OUCH!  Anyhow, it looks pretty good even though we did have to take a few pieces apart because I put one piece in backwards...yeah, it kind of sucked but, made sense once we figured it out.  So, this weekend I am going to fill it!

I bought two fun pairs of shoes.  Flats.  My favorite brand no less, Gianni Bini.  On sale too!  I wanted another sassy, comfy "versatile" pair for a few upcoming trips and just because as well.  And of course I can wear them to work.  However, one problem that I am going to encounter is that I will need to hem most of my pants as they are all "fit" for 4"  heels.  At this point in time I'm over my feet hurting at the end of the day.  And yes, I do take my shoes off at my desk but, my feet still hurt.  I guess this is what happens when you turn 35!  Just kidding.  I'm really just sick of my feet hurting and I don't really care to pay $100 for another pair of heels.  I've had two pairs break in the last 3 months and I need to replace and candidly I don't want to pay a bazillion dollars to replace them.  You see the shoes that are now breaking have lasted me for almost 2 years and I get on sale for great prices and of course, I am wanting to find that same deal...and the deals just aren't there.  Well, the deals are there just not the price I want.  Anyhow, I really like this sassy shoes.

Aren't they divine?  Love them!  And super comfy.  They come in black and cream as well however, the reviews weren't great because the leather is really soft and wears very easily.  These on the other-hand are fabric.
Classic black.
Close up detail.

These are my "other" pair of these shoes in a fabulous color!
They are so comfy and they go with casual, dressy and jeans.  Love them!
So, for my birthday I bought myself a dresser and two pairs of shoes.

Wait...  I forgot about the makeup I treated myself to.  Yes, more makeup.  I know I already have a lot.  However, I treated myself to something I've wanted for a while now.  I've been wanting this eyeshadow "set" from Lancome (Taupe Craze) and I finally bought it, yay me!  PS - these colors look way better in-person that online...so, go and head over to the Lancome counter.  And I got this fabulous gift(s) with purchase - not just one item but multiple.  More on that later, after I test them all out.  And I bought this {perfect for travel} packed to go eye kit from MAC and the best part is it has a few of my favorite colors, one of which happens to "always" be limited edition.  However, this set is "mail-order" only and needless to say I'm still waiting.  A side note I'm going back to Studio Tech (from Studio Fix) it's time for MORE coverage!  Apparently when you turn 35 some changes go into "effect" and skincare is one of them.  Too funny, I know.  Oh, and this Thursday I'll be adding to my skincare stash with my Mary Kay Sales Director, Stacy.

Also, I have to give a shout out to Bern for his fabulous gift: a Chanel wallet.  Very nice B!  Thanks so much.

I'm need to sign off now but, I'll be back...I have so much more to tell.

I'll be back soon!  Have a fabulous day.
