I have 2 weddings coming up and have been pondering how to do my hair, up or down. I 've decided because it will be hot I'm doing it up and I just happened to find this fabulous picture tutorial
here. In all honesty, I found it on
pinterest first but, clicked through to the link (to give proper "credit" of course). I'm a bit worried that it won't work due to the length of my hair? My hair is below my shoulder's about 2 inches. I've been letting it grow however, I'm really tempted to chop it. And I'm debating on whether or not to highlight it or better yet color it (dark, yet again). Ummm, on second thought no. It was so much up keep. However, I am seriously considering very blond highlights (check out the pictures below). The older I get, the darker my hair gets...so, at the age of
34 29 it's a dark blond. Sorry, I don't currently have a picture of what it looks like (as I'm in need of highlights, obviously).
Here's the tutorial:

| Current hair; well this is back in March. It's longer now and darker obviously at the roots. |
Here's my very blond hair that I'd love to have right now...
 |
| I've got a "few" strands of fabulous low-lights as well! And boy, was it short but, fun to style!!! |
 |
| This IS not my hair but, I'd love to have it this light and this long so that I can "replicate" this messy knot/bun in a minute. |
 |
| Please disregard the obnoxiously long and ridiculous fake eye lashes. This was New Years Eve 2009/2010 and my "trial" run through of one of the makeup artists for my sister's wedding. And I must say I look pretty fabulous. |
 |
| This is my dark hair days... I'll admit it was fun! Yet, I do remember how expensive it was. |
Have a wonderful day!
Love seeing your different hair styles! That up-do looks fabulous, though I could never do something like that myself. My hair is super fine and has different layers, so it's hard to hold onto and slips out unless you use tons of hairspray and bobby pins.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you and brown hair? Intersting. :) Prefer you blonde, girl. ;) Love the twisted hair, and I would so go with something like that.
ReplyDeleteI love that twisted sister 'do, you should try it before the wedding to see if your hair is long enough. It's really pretty!
ReplyDeletethat 'do is awesome! so, so pretty. i have the same length hair, maybe even a bit shorter, so doubtful but ya never know.
ReplyDeleteI did this Saturday night for a wedding and it turned out great! It didn't take long, but it was somewhat difficult separating the hair out to twist from the pile clipper up on top. I also have long bands and had to tease, twist and pin them up and back as well. Overall, great little tutorial. Thanks!
