Amy's Bachelorette Dinner.

Last Wednesday evening I celebrated one of the last (few) nights of my cousin, Amy's single life.  She was about to become (well already is, now) Mrs. Barberio.  And to think she's 6 years younger than me and my birthday present many, many years ago - 29 to be exact!  Yikes!  I'm old.  Just kidding, I don't feel like I am...  Seriously, I don't.

We had a fabulous dinner at The Culinary Dropout in Old Town Scottsdale.  And it just so happened to be cousins and sisters.  The bride's 2 sisters, Erin and Kim.  Cousin, Andrea (Ang, my nickname for her).  And Mel and I (we are sisters).  So, like I said cousins and sisters.  We had cocktails, presents, dinner, and a very yummy dessert.  Thanks to Mel for ordering it.  Anyhow, all round it was a fun evening.
Oh, a funny tidbit about the evening:  I brought my camera and "forget" to put in the memory card, nice huh?  I thought so.  Thank goodness after about 3 photos the LED display flashed and told me "out of memory" and I checked.  A special shout out to my sister, Mel who was my photographer for the evening.  And yes, I snagged a few photos from Facebook.  And I did "ask" permission of all present to be put on my blog!  Thanks ladies.  I hope you enjoy the post...

I thought it only fitting to show an "old school" picture of the group.  Kim isn't in this picture because she wasn't born yet.  And April whose in the center is back home in Illinois with (her) kids and couldn't make the wedding.
Top row, me. Second row, Melanie (left) and Amy (right).  Third row, Erin (left) and Ang (right).  By the way, it must be noted that I just love how Ang has her arm draped over Erin and that "cool" stance she has.  Lol.
My cocktail, Pinot Noir.  My sister, Mel picked me up so I was able to have a cocktail.

In this picture left to right, clockwise, starting with 12 o'clock:
Erin, Amy, Kim, Ang.  Great smiles everyone!

Ang, the maid of honor, hooked up the bride with a little lingerie.

My yummy dinner.  Prime rib dip.  And yes that's french fries and I ate all of them!  YUM.

The dessert also came with a glass of champagne - to "toast" the bride!
This dessert was soooo yummy!  We all tried it.  And yes, that's carmel corn on top.  It was like a butterscotch pudding of sorts, I think.  I loved it.
Here's the group - left to right, top to bottom.
Me (row 1, left), Mel, my sister (row 1, right)
Amy (the bride, my cousin) and Kim (who isn't in the other picture, the youngest sister of the bride)
Erin (on the left the middle sister of the bride) and Ang (on the right) and both her sister's were not here.
Well, we've all grown up and look fabulous! I still feel a tad bit older as each one of them gets married.   Now, just imagine how their parents feel, lol. Sorry but, I couldn't resist. Had to add this comment - a bunch of my family reads my blog -- so, this will "add" a bit of humor to their day.
It was a fun evening!  And of course, I told them all that I felt a "bit" old - can you tell this is a trend?  Or a theme rather.  I really don't feel old, it just show's you how time flies and we all grow up.  However, we did discuss my babysitting all of them and my "master" fort building skills!  Kim missed out on that though because she's the youngest (of the group present).

Congrats to the future Mrs. Barberio!
