Today's post has become a daunting task. I'm not sure what to write
about. But, I'm leaning towards fashion. Yes, fashion I know has an infinite
amount of possibilities however, I'm just not quite sure "what" to focus on
today. Hmmm...
And
yes, I'll still post ...this & that...Thursday however I'm branching
out.
Some
ideas. I've been pondering a post on accessories lately, maybe? A follow-up to
my Magnificent Seven post that's already in the works {read the original post here}? An "idea" regarding how
do "I" change my look "on a budget"? A post regarding a wardrobe makeover and
updating my closet? A post dedicated entirely to shoes and "buying" new ones
(you see I'm in need of several new pairs a few on their last legs)?
As
you know I have an ever-growing stack of unread magazines. I'm slowly
but surely weeding down the stack to nothing. But not quite yet and I added to
it about a week ago. It's funny right? Yes, I know it is. Why would I buy
more to read when I can't get through my "current" must-read stack? Because the
cover catches my eye, somehow, someway it does. Don't you agree? It happens,
yes?
Anyhow
here are a few things that have caught my eye recently:
I'm really loving Kenneth Cole's outfit ensembles right now. Have you seen
there print ads lately? There fabulous. And it makes me want all of the outfits!
I think I'm in need of a grey-yellow blazer or maybe just bright yellow. I'm indecisive can't you tell? Buttons or no buttons? Check out outfit from Style Pantry. The Editor, Folake Kuye Huntoon posts her daily outfit and I'm sharing a few pics. And she designed the shoes at eidia lush and so can you! PS - Kori, I stand corrected about "bows", seriously I do.

City Safari look...I'm loving it, aren't you?
Tuxedo jacket...I want, I need. An imperative must-have look for each of us gals.
The cuff... An ingenious idea for a bracelet. We all need and want several of these.
Chunky platforms...Ummm, yes please! What's my limit? Seriously, is there a limit to how many pairs a girl can have?
Cropped jeans. A "do" or a "don't"? And with which shoes. I think it entirely depends on the look when is trying to achieve. Don't you agree? A DIY to make your own cropped jeans.
On a side note let's talk shoes. Spring shoes to be exact. Sandals.
Caged booties. I'll admit I have 2 pairs of Gianni Bini booties and I love
them! A pair in black patent
leather and another cream patent leather. The black ones are by far my
most absolute favorite pair of shoes. You can only imagine how devastated I was
Tuesday midday when I realized the sole was broken! Yes, broken. And its
something I don't think is repairable. I have absolutely no idea how it
happened. And I have tried to buy a second pair now for some time and no such
luck; its no longer being made. However, if you are reading this post and have
seen them or know someone at Gianni Bini that can get me a pair please,
pretty please, let me know. I'd most certainly love you forever. Seriously, I
would. At the fabulous age of 34 these shoes are and have been my absolute
favorite! Alright, enough said. I think I'm definitely going to have to do a
shoe post. And I'll need to include a few shoe diva's that I know to add their
two sense. I still can't believe they are broken!
When a change in season comes about it is a definite reminder that every
girl needs to make a hair appointment. Either to spruce things up or change
things up. And yes you are truly reading that I am officially
stating that "I am in desperate need of a hair appointment". Not
necessarily for a cut but I need to add some "pep" to my hair. The older I get
the darker blond my hair gets (yes, I'm a natural blond) and the curlier it
gets. And I must say that the darkness and curliness in full steam ahead and
just in time for my birthday. I guess my hair is screaming "35". Don't worry
you didn't miss it. The big, joyous day is later this summer.
Lastly, can someone please explain "color blocking" to me? I can't say
that I honestly understand what this is. Am I close with this
"definition": pairing two bright colors that you normally wouldn't pair
together? Or am I completely off base? Be honest I can handle the truth. You can read about it here, here, here, and here if you'd like to help me figure it out.

Wow, this outfit is so chic. I seriously love your yellow blazer with the boyfriend jeans and the heels are amazing. Glad you decided to blog about fashion today. hehe...Nice post with tons of good info
