Well, it's mine! Happy Birthday to me. I'm "officially" 35 today. Eeek! Yes, I know I"m terribly old...I'm really not but, sometimes I feel that I am. It definitely makes me reflect on how far I have come in my adult life and where I want to go... There's so much to accomplish! And let me just say that this IS my favorite holiday, yes, a special day all about me! Yes, me. I love it!
Anyhow, I have a fun filled weekend planned. Here's my itinerary:
Breakfast and a movie with Mel, my little sister, and her hubby, Eric. Not sure where we are going for breakfast but, I'm sure it'll be yummy! And then we are going to see The Change Up. My sister is stoked to see Ryan Reynolds and my brother-in-law and I are big Jason Bateman fans. It's going to be a lot of fun.
After breakfast and movie my Mom is coming to pick me up and we are going shopping. I wanted to get a pair of shoes or two...a boyfriend blazer...however, I think we are going to hit IKEA first!
I'm having a fun dinner date with Bern at a restaurant I love, The Parlor. If you've followed my blog for a quite a while you've read my posts about my fabulous solo lunches on the patio and my wonderful cup of cappuccino. Dinner is going to be delicious!
On Sunday, I'm going to sleep in, hit the gym and take myself to Captain America. Treat myself to Starbucks with my birthday coupon: Iced Treinta Green Tea. And most likely work on work-in-progress note cards for BlondiesShop. To round out the birthday celebration I'll be heading to a family dinner at Carraba's: mom, step-dad, grandparents, cousins. The fun part about my birthday is that I share it with my cousin, Amy, a wonderful present on my 6th birthday! It's very cool I know.

Anyhow, it's going to be a fun-filled weekend and I'm so excited that it's my birthday! And in honor of the special day and in celebration of ME! I'm sharing my favorite scene from Sixteen Candles where a very young Anthony Michael Hall tries to serenade "Sam", Molly Ringwald and get her underwear. Also, I'm including Sir Paul McCartney singing "you say it's your birthday".
