Well, yesterday was my Friday this week. Hence, no post yesterday - I was busy packing last night and organizing my apartment. Yes, I've been on a quest to organize and streamline my place because, well let me be absolutely frank with you -- the chaos in my apartment has been driving me crazy. And no I didn't take any before or after pictures but, I should have. You probably wouldn't think it was or is that bad but, I do. My mom even noticed the new found "order" however, she liked it before. Now, it's super clean and organized. Hmmm, a future blog post: my apartment.
Anyhow, on with the tidbits...
I'm headed to Florida to spend a long weekend with my childhood friend, Jason and his wife Brenda and their adorable new baby daughter, Elizabeth. Actually, Ms. Elizabeth is 6 months old now but, it will in-fact be my first time seeing her -- so, it's still new to me and I'm sure her parents. But, I'm super excited!!! Very. It will be really cool to see Jason as a parent in-action if you will. You see Jason and I used to play G.I. Joe, Star Wars, play "war" with replica machine guns, etc. Oh, and need I forget to daredevil tricks with his BMX bike and I have quite a nice scar on my chin as "proof" of our fun, little, tricks. Oh, yes I really do!
My mom dropped me off at the airport and I made it through security in 10 minutes. Needless to say 20 minutes after my arrival at the airport I'm seated, drinking my iced venti green tea and blogging away... I don't board for another 45 minutes so, I'm still good. And today I'm going to pay for in-flight Internet service and blog some more.
I'm brought some fun reads. Currently reading 4 Blondes by Candace Bushnell. And to think I've had this book for years, literally years, and haven't read it until now. The next book to read is Book 1 of the Emerald Legacy: Irish Hearts by Nora Roberts. And I did bring a third but, not quite sure if I'll get to that. Oh, and a few magazines, too. You can never have enough reading material.
...this & that...
Check out ...this DIY website www.ispy-diy.com (found in InStyle magazine, Jenni Radosevich, part-time staff and blogger). Be sure to find the "spruce up your summer sandals" that I found in the InStyle magazine -- who would've thought this "easy-peasy" DIY to spruce up your summer sandals. Wow!
MAC Satin Taupe is one of my favorite eye shadows of all time and a must for every gal. A golden taupe with a hint of purple...simply stunning and gorgeous all-in-one. Can be worn wet or dry.
I think each of us needs this teasing comb and to think it's only $13 - recessiontools.com
Tuxedo jacket. Yes, each of us needs this fab little addition to our wardrobe. I have a black one with cropped sleeves and love, love, love it! However, it is several years old, been worn a bazillion times, and dry cleaned just as many...I'm in need of a new one. I currently own black. But, I think in addition to replacing it that I also need a white one, cream one, and white with black color... Hmmm, sounds pretty enticing doesn't it? There fabulous. A must for every gal. And ladies, this should be a staple in your wardrobe. It can be work with jeans or dress pants -- just think the possibilities are endless. And different fabrics change the look as well. Oh, Fashion Fairy, where o' where are you....? I hope your reading this...be on the lookout for me.
