Mini-fascinator note cards. Fascinator as in the hat. Now, this has created a whole land side of creativity. I'm also contemplating creating mini-fascinator bobby pins. Your thoughts? Obviously, I don't have any DONE as of yet nor have I ordered the items. But, I will say I've been doing a bunch of research.

Research, wow! I'm not only researching the supplies and the design aspect. Let alone the creation aspect by yours' truly. But, can I sell them and are they marketable. Here in the States we aren't crazy hat people however, I wish we were.
So, anyway, I thought I'd share various pictures from etsy shops. The feathers and supplies that constitute my research. And this time around I'm not including any links...I don't have a "favorite" shop as of yet. Working on it.
Oh, and I'm definitely open to color palette's...what would you like to wear? Or rather see as a color combination on a girlie glam set of note cards?
My inspiration...

So, do you see a trend here at all...? I'm leaning towards vintage yet, contemporary. The old with the new - bright, bold, vivid colors that are adorned with a beautiful vintage piece. If its a comb or bobby pin you could pair with jeans, a sexy top and sky-high heels. Honestly, I'd love every one's feedback either way. But, the cards are in the design phase and so are the bobby pins.
Have a wonderful day. And I'm looking forward to reading your comments about "new" inspiration at the shop!
PS - I already have an idea in mind for a fascinator that I am actually going to make. I'll share this in my other post as well.

Heather, I've also been noticing more feathers everywhere! I'm getting used to them know as a hairpiece - especially when they look as gorgeous as the one from kamieophotography!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your inspiration. Can't wait to see what beauty and master pieces you'd create!
Love all the feathers and jewels! I can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteI feel so out of place commenting but for a dude, the only thing I could come up as an idea of something to wear with feathers would be a hat, Robin Hood style. Other than that it would make me look like a pimp.
ReplyDeletePardon my ignorance on all things fashion. By my comments, you can also tell I am probably the antithesis of fashion.
