Makeup & Mayhem on a Monday. {Post #4}

Well, its that time again.  Time to change up my makeup "colors" for spring.  So, I'm going to share my routine and of course the new colors.  Well, not "new" colors but the spring colors.  And I hope you like the look...and my faves.
 Here's my routine:

The face...

• Start with a clean face
• Apply Caniglia MD Pumpkin Wine toner (with a cotton ball) to entire face
• MK Indulge Soothing Eye Gel under my eyes and eyelid; magically diminish puffy eyes
• MK Timewise Replenishing Serum+C (entire face)
• MK Firming Eye Cream under eye area only
• MK Eye Primer eyelid only (no creasing all day)
• Apply MK Oil Free Hydrating Gel to entire face
• Apply Smashbox Photo Finish Light to entire face
• Apply Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener to under eye area
• Apply Select Moisture Cover NW20 over Smashbox Eye Brightener to conceal under eye circles; it conceals like magic

The face is now prepped and ready for foundation and color...

• I like a light foundation during the warmer months and use MAC Studio Fix in N5.  And of course I use a magical MAC brush and who doesn't if you use MAC products!
• I use 2 different kinds of blush.  1) MAC Harmony for my cheekbone and 2) MAC Springsheen for the apple of my cheek.
• And if I'm feeling a little sassy that morning I add MAC Bronzing Powder in Golden.

The eyes...

• I use MAC Paint Pot in Painterly and Rubenesque.  Painterly is applied allover the eye.  Rubenesque is applied to the crease and lid from the outer corner of the eye.
• Apply MAC Shroom eye shadow to the brow bone.
• Apply MAC Gleam eye shadow to the outer corner of the eye and blend inward to the middle of the eyelid. 
• Apply MAC Texture eye shadow over the area covered by the Rubenesque paint pot.
• Apply MAC Antiqued to the outer corner of the eye crease and reapply.  Blend.  And reapply.  Typically, I get the brush slightly wet to make the Antiqued more pronounced.
• Blend all shadow lightly with your "blender brush".
• I use MAC Stubborn Brown eyeliner on the upper and lower lid close to the lash line.  Blend/smudge with brush.  Use q-tip to remove any excess eyeliner after smudging.
• Apply MK Blonde Eyebrow pencil and apply MK brow gel over pencil.
• Grab your trusty Smashbox Eye Beam Double-Ended Brightener.  And let the magic begin!  Use the big end and highlight your brow bone and smudge lightly.  Use the smaller end to lightly line your under eye eyelash area and line it white.  And instantaneous eye brightener every time.  Seriously, absolutely every time.  Period.
• Lightly dust face with MAC Blotting Powder.
• Curl eyelashes with eyelash curler.
• Apply MK Ultimate Mascara in black. 

Lips...

• Take Smashbox Double-Ended Pout Perfecter and fill-in lips with Pout color.
• With Smashbox Doubletake Lip Color line lips with lip liner.  Flip to the other side and lightly color in lips with lip color.  Rub lips together.
• Now the finishing touch: lightly apply Smashbox Reflection - High Shine Lip Gloss and rub lips together.

And wa-lah!!!  My new spring look.  Unfortunately, I don't have before and after pictures but, I do have a few pictures of the finished eye look.  A few photos...of my eye closed, half open, and open - for a little makeup humor.  My Blackberry camera phone isn't the best but, you'll get the point.  One day I'll get around to making a video.  And to think I do have the capability with my new computer.  Oh, and a little reminder to me (note to self)...set up Skype so that I can see baby, Elizabeth.
