Alert: I need a dress and your help!

I have two weddings to attend this summer.  My cousin's wedding June 18th here locally in Arizona.  My girlfriend's wedding July 2nd in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.  For both weddings it will be hot.  Long story short, I need a dress that won't add to the already hot, gross, sweaty, feeling I'll be feeling.  And of course it needs to be super stylish and comfortable.  Most importantly the dress needs to be something I can wear again.

So, I had this great idea!  Find a dress that I can wear to both weddings.  I'm also hoping to use accessories that I already for the outfit, *fingers crossed*.  However, I'm most likely going to get another clutch.

Anyhow, here are a few dresses from The Limited.  And they all happen to be under $100.  I'd love to know what you think.  I'm leaning towards the first one.

Here's two dresses from Ann Taylor.
Jersey dress, $88.

Modern, flowy, and light, $138.  A little pricey for the dress.
Here's two dresses from Kenneth Cole.  Both dresses are roughly $150.
I like the dress and the look but its wool...?
I like the color but, its silk.  I'm not sure the fabric is a good choice...?

Let me know your thoughts...?  I'd love to know which one you like.  And of course your thoughts on which one I should pick.

  2. Like first from AT best. All so cute but personally can see myself not wanting to wear the same bold dress (ie pink one or flower pattern) two times in a row. And silk is gorgeous but bad for heat factor. Accessorize!

  3. From a dude's perspective: The second one is HOT, and the first one from AT's screenshot is even hotter. I'll go more for the AT one.

I was married once and I helped the exwife pick her dresses : )

  4. Loving the first. And the first from Ann Taylor, and maybe the pink one on top of that Ann Taylor one.
Main thing I always look for is that it is sort of loose...like not too tight, and all...you don't it to stick to you or leave marks on you. Not pretty. One solid color is my favorite, so you can accessorize easily. Flower dresses and such are cute, but you may never wear it again.

    Good luck!!!

  5. I love the first one, too. I recently tried on that same teal one at The Limited, and liked it better on the hanger than on my body--it's fits a very specific shape, so if that's yours, then go for it because it's lovely. But my vote is for the first one.

  6. The very first one is my favorite. A nice, bright color for a hot summer evening. Good luck!
