Fashion Friday.

It's Friday and you know what that means:  Fashion Friday over at Blonde Episodes!  Yay!

I'm feeling Parisian.  Well, I'm trying to obtain the "Parisian style".  You see I'm reading Parisian Chic by Inès de la Fressange.  And I'm absolutely loving it.  I blogged about this book prior to it being released and of course I pre-ordered it.  However, I  haven't finished it and there is definitely a lot of fabulous information in it.  And I'll admit I've been marking with "stickies" what I need to come back to.  Anyhow, the book has inspired me to create today's outfit.  And to think I'm only on page 30.

I discovered on page 23 that I am lacking several of the "Magnificent Seven: a man's blazer, a trench coat, a navy sweater, a tank top, a little black dress, jeans, and a leather jacket."  Panic mode somewhat set in.  It dawned on me this IS why I don't look chic or rather "why" I'm lacking.  Seriously, a big huge wow!  And mind you I'm reading this page while doing cardio.  Let me give you the visual:  the elliptical, I somewhat slow down, and almost completely stop.  I recovered when I realized this IS the reason why I bought the book, right?  Back to the seven.  I have the trench coat however, it's not Burberry.  I have a few tank tops.  I have the LBD.  I have plenty of jeans.  I couldn't possible have all seven of the items could I?  I lack the man's blazer, the navy sweater, and the leather jacket.  There is somewhat of a trend in the first 30-pages:  the color navy is a Parisian must-have.  Love it!

I'm really looking forwad to the next 30-pages.  Alright it's time to check out my Parisian Chic inspired outfit.  Stop by Blonde Episodes to take part in the blog hop!  And don't forget to share your thoughts...

  1. Mmmm, love a little big of Paris! Totally go for navy; I'm a HUGE fan. Often go for my navy pants instead of black for meetings and work.

  3. Happy Friday! I love the outfit and the book - what a resource. Ines' suggestion of the navy cashmere sweater is something I don't have yet, but can see myself wearing constantly once it is in my closet. Thank you very much for the #ff. You have a wonderful blog. Happy to have met you. :)

  6. I was thrilled to find I have all those items in my closet already, and have relied on them forever. (And yes, my trencher is a Burburry's!) The only thing is, my leather outfit doesn't include a jacket- just a vest and some pants. Still looks hot, though!
    Great post!
